Enjoy a free afternoon in Rome. We can help you arrange tours to Trevi Fountain, the catacombs, a hop on hop off day pass or just get some advice walking around the city.

600 pm Italy Pizza Experience

In Rome they bake a special Roman version of Neapolitan pizza. A full immersion in local culture and a fun way of having a real Italian dinner. Pizzas with different toppings will be taken to the table already cut, so that everyone can get a slice of a different type. The owner will give explanations on the ingredients so you will be exposed to a real pizza experience, learn about this typical dish and also learn how to order an Italian pizza in case you want to replicate, during one of their dinners on your own. You will get : a bruschetta, a pizza, one drink and a dessert.

Following breakfast we will meet with a local chef/guide and walk for 20 minutes (with breaks) and explore the neighbourhood of Trastevere, Rome’s medieval heart .  Learn how to find fresh produce, explore the many varieties of vegetables and fruits used in local cuisine.

We head out this morning to Spoleto, considered one of the premier olive oil producing cities in Italy.  Our first stop is at an Olive Oil Mill where we will see a demonstration in olive oil pressing and enjoy a sampling of the oils produced at the mill.

As we leave Umbria we head out to the villages of Tuscany.  The Orcia Valley Region (a Unesco Heritage site) is nestled among the rolling hills and cypress trees.  Our first stop includes a visit to a Pecorino cheese farm where you can sample the many varieties of pecorino cheese.  follow your sampling with a light lunch.

Welcome to the Orcia Valley with a visit to an artisanal pasta factory producing the local specialty-pici.

Tour of Bagno Vignoni and local winery tasting

Bagno Vignoni became famous due to its mineral rich hot springs located throughout the hamlet.  The waters were once used to cure pilgrims as they travelled towards Rome.  After a short tour we then head to Montelcino, the heart of the Brunello wine region.  Enjoy as we explore a local winery and then indulge in a multi-sensory sampling of the World famous Brunello wines.

Come explore this exceptional town in the afternoon. San Gimignano is an Italian hill town in Tuscany, southwest of Florence. Encircled by 13th-century walls, its old town centers on Piazza della Cisterna, a triangular square lined with medieval houses. It has a skyline of medieval towers, including the stone Torre Grossa. The Duomo di San Gimignano is a 12th-century church with frescoes by Ghirlandaio in its Santa Fina Chapel.

From masterpieces of Renaissance art to royal Medici intrigue, Florence is like a living history museum waiting to be explored. Uncover its medieval secrets on this guided 2-hour walking tour of historic highlights including the Pitti Palace, Ponte Vecchio, Church of Santa Croce, Piazza della Repubblica and the iconic Duomo and stop at one of the city’s best ‘gelaterias’ for a scoop of ice cream.

After our walking tour of Florence we head to an Italian leather and gold workshop.  Engage with the smiths as they show the process of creating their wonderful pieces of leather and gold work.

Free time to explore Florence

1330 until 1700 enjoy your afternoon in Florence.  Meet at Dante Santa Croce for transfer back to hotel.
