Papua New Guinea, an Oceanian country in the southwestern Pacific, encompasses the eastern half of New Guinea and its offshore islands. Popularly known as ''PNG'', it is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world; 852 languages are listed for the country, of which 12 have no known living speakers. It is also a country richly endowed with natural resources, it’s known for its beaches, coral reefs and scuba diving.
